Specialist Air Conditioning Projects
Our engineering bias has led us to specialise in the more technicall
y challenging applications of air conditioning technology. If your project falls into this category then our considerable experience in these areas mean that we can ensure that you get technical excellence - with a competitive cost. Projects that would fall into this category would be for example:
- Hotels, Guest Houses Activity Centres
- Computer Rooms / Server Rooms
- Call Centres
Hotels / Call Centres:
When working in hotels and other public accommodation, several factors have to be taken into account, the noise levels of units, making them fit in with the decors so units aren't noticeable to clientele, and also the room occupancy level and warm up times for such units.
To control temperature we will usually recommend the use of concealed duct mounted systems located above the entrance lobby – these have ultra low noise levels and grilles can be painted to match room decor for an invisible appearance. For small sites each unit would have it's own outdoor unit, however for the larger buildings single VRV outdoor unit can be used to control multiple units in both heating and cooling modes.
Computer / Server Rooms
I
n the 21st century computer rooms play a huge part in the way business's are run, and with increased speed and increased numbers of computers heat becomes a real issue in both the safety of staff and the reliability in the equipment. For more advanced rooms air filtration and humidity control may be required.
For the basic computer room we would recommend a wall mounted unit, which gives the added safety net that in the event of a drainage leak, condensation drips or other fluids will not leak onto equipment.
Where the client’s IT equipment requires humidity and temperature control or high specification filtration, we are able to supply specialist computer type air conditioning systems having this facility.
If the client’s IT processes are mission critical and air conditioning shutdown would result in IT equipment failure – then we will propose the use of multiple systems to give resilience against failure – if necessary with run and standby systems.
